Build Financial Confidence Through Practical Learning

We've spent the past eight years watching people struggle with savings decisions they never felt prepared to make. That's why we created something different.

This isn't about textbooks or theory. It's about real conversations with people who've helped hundreds of Australians navigate their financial futures. Starting September 2025, you'll join small groups working through actual scenarios, asking the questions that matter, and building habits that stick.

Three Modules, One Clear Path Forward

Each module builds on the last. You'll spend eight weeks total, meeting once weekly for two-hour sessions. Classes run in small groups of 12-15 participants, which means actual discussion rather than just listening.

Foundations

We start with the basics most people wish they'd learned earlier. Budgeting that actually works. Understanding interest. Reading your super statement without feeling lost. The stuff that seemed obvious until you realized it wasn't.

Weeks 1-3

Strategy

This is where things get interesting. You'll map out a savings plan that fits your actual life, not some ideal version. We'll talk through emergency funds, short-term goals, and what happens when plans don't go perfectly.

Weeks 4-6

Action

The final weeks are about implementation. You'll set up systems, automate what makes sense, and create accountability structures. We've found that knowing what to do is easy; doing it consistently is where people need support.

How It Actually Works

Most financial education feels disconnected from reality. We've designed this around the actual questions people ask when they're sitting across from us, trying to make decisions.

1

Initial Assessment

You'll complete a short questionnaire about your current situation. This helps us group participants with similar goals and challenges. No judgment, just context.

2

Weekly Sessions

Every Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:30pm, starting September 16, 2025. Sessions combine short presentations with group discussion and individual planning time. Bring your laptop and your questions.

3

Ongoing Support

Between sessions, you'll have access to our facilitators via email. Plus, your cohort group often becomes a valuable resource. People share what's working and what isn't.

Who You'll Learn With

Our facilitators aren't academics or salespeople. They're financial planners who work with clients daily and understand the gap between theory and practice.

Elspeth Ravenswood, lead financial educator

Elspeth Ravenswood

Lead Facilitator

Elspeth spent 12 years in banking before shifting to education. She says the best part of these sessions is watching people realize they're not alone in feeling confused. Her specialty is translating jargon into plain language.

Dagny Thorvaldsen, financial planning specialist

Dagny Thorvaldsen

Strategy Coach

Dagny works with our clients on long-term planning, but she teaches because she believes most financial stress comes from lack of information rather than lack of money. She's particularly good at helping people prioritize when everything feels urgent.
